Homemade protein milk

homemade protein milk

Are you buying protein milk at the store?

If you’re buying protein milk, you can make your own homemade protein milk yourself in under a minute.

All you need is your preferred milk + a protein powder you tolerate well. I usually use Eden Foods soy milk with Designs for Health Pure Paleo Protein Powder  — blend, and it’s done.

I can offer you 15% discount on Designs For Health Protein Powders and more with the code: AKN2026

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups milk of choice (I use Eden Foods soy milk)
  • 1–2 scoops protein powder (I use Designs for Health)

Instructions:

  1. Add milk and protein powder to a blender
  2. Blend until smooth (or whisk/shake well)
  3. Taste and adjust if needed

Store in the fridge for up to 2–3 days. Shake before using.

Notes

  • You can adjust thickness by adding more or less milk
  • Works well in coffee, smoothies, or on its own
  • If using a shaker or whisk, expect a slightly less smooth texture than blending

Why make it yourself?

  • You control the ingredients
  • No long additive lists
  • Simple way to increase protein intake without overthinking it

If you’ve ever compared ingredient labels, the difference is pretty clear.

This is not only a staple in my house, but it has also become a staple for the participants in the Body Balance Program . If you are curious about the program, but not sure if it’s right for you, you can always book a call with me, or come see me in person at Edgemont Naturopathic Clinic in North Vancouver.
